Woolfolk Middle School

Ja’Net Blackmon is a native of Greenwood, MS. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in teaching from Alcorn State University. She went on to obtain a Master of Arts in English from Mississippi State University and an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from The University of Mississippi. During her eleven years in education, Ms. Blackmon has taught 8th-12th grade ELA and has served as the instructional coach at Amanda Elzy High School in the Greenwood-Leflore Consolidated School District. Ms. Blackmon is a National Board Certified Teacher and serves as an ambassador for the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. She will serve as the assistant principal at Woolfolk Middle School for the 2021-2022 school year.
